Caitlin Creer Interiors

September 20, 2011

This serene yet fresh and modern living room designed by Caitlin Creer out of Salt Lake City all began with Schumacher's Avebury Floral Vine gracing the pillow on the fab tufted sofa. A perfect complement to Benjamin Moore's Palladian Blue at 75% on the walls (one of my favorites)! So many other great details like the the cozy window seat with all the colorful pillows from Etsy, the striking black spool chair and the gorgeous fireplace with its amazing fretwork detail. The gorgeous millwork, ... View Post

Mirador Builders + EDI International, Inc

September 16, 2011

Happy Friday!! I don't often have the opportunity to share homes like this authentic Spanish Colonial Revival designed by EDI International, Inc and built by Jennifer Hamelet of Mirador Builders out of Houston. Jennifer has been designing, building and marketing for over 20 years, and her home is something dreams are made of. Of course I was immediately drawn to the kitchen with its painted cabinets (Green Granite by Pittsburgh Paint) and pops of red. But I know you're going to want to scroll ... View Post

Kathleen DiPaolo

September 15, 2011

Total turquoise bliss! Designer Kathleen DiPaolo of Pacific Family Homes out of Newport Beach, CA gifted us with this double delight. Two sisters, twins to be exact, have the pleasure of calling these beautiful rooms their own. How drop-dead are the beds Kathleen designed (complete with hidden trundles) using Quadrille's "Pina" fabric?! If they weren't quite enough to make you fall head over heels, then I'm sure the dreamy grasscloth wallcoverings from Phillip Jefferies (Burmuda Hemp in ... View Post

SFA Design

September 14, 2011

Nothing says "Something's Gotta Give" more than a blue and white striped rug and comfy slipcovered sofas! SFA Design out of Santa Barbara recently completed this Hamptons estate photographed by Eric Striffler, brimming with beachy blues and greens on a sandy-colored base. They only had 5 short weeks between initial design development and installation, so the team decided to source everything locally. They used local craftsmen to update existing furnishings and fixtures, and scoured shops from ... View Post

The Fancy Farm Girl

September 12, 2011

You know someone creative, fun, and downright feminine was behind this adorable little trailer! Seattle photographer Tiffany Kirchner-Dixon with a super cute blog aptly titled The Fancy Farm Girl received the 1959 trailer nicknamed Audree as a Mother's day gift this year, and began with the mere intention of sprucing it up. Fate wouldn't have it and the project quickly gained momentum. (That happens so easily, doesn't it?) She redid everything from the interior and exterior paint, new lighting, ... View Post

Jane Coslick

September 9, 2011

I've never met a hanging porch bed I didn't like. One designed by Jane Coslick? All dressed up in cute turquoise fabric?? Overlooking the sea??? Heaven help me! These photos by Richard Leo Johnson for a feature in Coastal Living a couple years back are actually part of one of my most favorite homes ever, designed by Jane of course (I blogged about it here). Fall may have officially arrived, but this delightful porch is keeping the summer vibe alive for me! I hope you all have a great ... View Post

Margie McCulloch

September 8, 2011

Charmingly old yet refreshingly new is the perfect description of Colorado Homes and Lifestyles's Kitchen of the Year designed by Margie McCulloch of Red Pepper Kitchen and Bath Design out of Boulder. The owners wanted the space to have an Old-World feel but modern functionality, and the materials had to be interesting, textural and top of the line. I love the distressed cabinets painted Benjamin Moore's Aegean Teal, all the interesting hardware and the gorgeous three-dimensional tiles from Ann ... View Post

Travel Advice?

September 6, 2011

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend! I stayed put here in Minnesota...for now! In a few weeks though Chris and I will be heading to the coast of Massachusetts for a few days. You don't even know how excited I am. I've been wanting to visit the area for as long as I can remember. We'll actually be celebrating our anniversary (of our first date...we can keep celebrating that even though we're married now, right?) as well as my birthday! We are planning to spend a day taking in Cape ... View Post
