SFA Design

September 14, 2011

Nothing says “Something’s Gotta Give” more than a blue and white striped rug and comfy slipcovered sofas! SFA Design out of Santa Barbara recently completed this Hamptons estate photographed by Eric Striffler, brimming with beachy blues and greens on a sandy-colored base. They only had 5 short weeks between initial design development and installation, so the team decided to source everything locally. They used local craftsmen to update existing furnishings and fixtures, and scoured shops from Manhattan to Southampton to find the perfect accessories. I love all the coastal pillows and colorful Dash and Albert rugs! To see tons more incredible homes designed by SFA Design, visit their website here!

Ha! Totally thought "Something's Gotta Give" when I saw that first picture.

Not sure how I feel about the X table off the island in the kitchen. I don't think that will accomplish the island seating that they were going for—think people will feel like they're seated too low. Looks like the kids table to me.

But overall, very pretty. I'd love to vacation here! And it looks "real."
