The Fancy Farm Girl

September 12, 2011

You know someone creative, fun, and downright feminine was behind this adorable little trailer! Seattle photographer Tiffany Kirchner-Dixon with a super cute blog aptly titled The Fancy Farm Girl received the 1959 trailer nicknamed Audree as a Mother’s day gift this year, and began with the mere intention of sprucing it up. Fate wouldn’t have it and the project quickly gained momentum. (That happens so easily, doesn’t it?) She redid everything from the interior and exterior paint, new lighting, new door knobs and hardware, and accessorized it like no other trailer has seen. Oh how I LOVE it! There are lots of fun vintage finds, but many original items inside too, like the enamel icebox, the 1950’s gray speckled flooring and the yummy aqua counter tops. To read all about the mega-transformation and for more great images taken by Tiffany herself, just head here!

I just visited her blog and saw the outside of this adorable trailer but no inside pictures and I was disappointed 馃檨 But here you have it! I absolutely LOVE how she decorated it. She really turned something that is usually thought of as junk-yard material into something covetable! Kudos!

This is so incredibly cute! Whenever I think of a trailer, I think dingy and dirty…not flirty and fun! I cannot believe that The Fancy Farm Girl was able to transform the trailer into this fabulous space.

Whenever I see photos of something really inspiring, my heart starts beating like crazy, my brain starts racing, and it almost feels like I'm going to explode. These photos did that to me! That trailer is AMAZING! Man, I'm rethinking ever having a little garden shed of my own or even studio – maybe I'll just plop one of these in my future backyard, fix it up, and have my little womanly space all my own!

This is so great! I'm very happy you posted it, Erin!

As someone who recently downsized, I see this as the perfect validation of the concept that beauty (and FUN) do NOT need space to thrive.

Thanks so much for this one.

This is absolutely adorable. I am wanting to get something small like this to travel in when I retire..hopefully next year. My guy may not like it, but oh well. Unfortunately, I will have to use his truck to pull it. He is living in a turquoise and white house now so I guess he won't mind. LOL

TIFFANY!!!! HOLY BURRO! First of all, those Burro's.I will need to kiss one of them. Secondly, HELLO! the photo shoots are adorable. When I come in June can I have one? ( or am I too old?) LOVE the makeup too! So Retro!
OKAY and your little pink Playhouse/Trailer/Party mobile…Is outrageously fun!! Every tine I look around your blog I either see things that I have or that are WAY similar, or more stuff I simply can't live without! It's crazy how much more we have in common than I realized…which is probably a good thing because I would have bugged you to death with questions and Blah Blah…you would not have gotten anything done! I'll be back and I'll be back frequently! I am sharing some stuff on my FB page tonight and I'm gonna tweet that adorable video!
