I just love me a quaint and cozy cottage. This two-room cabin in Nantucket photographed by Michael Partenio is surely one of the cutest I've ever come across. Designed by Kathleen Hay, the renovated space features pickled white oak floors and white horizontal paneling on the walls. I know I'm hearing three cheers for the pale seaglass-blue ceiling and the turquoise sand-blasted glass countertop though! What a dream! Phoebe Howard
I could spend hours sifting through the portfolio of Phoebe Howard. It seems every time I get drawn into her dreamy world I discover something new. I recently read a Q&A in the Washington Post where Phoebe talked about her design philosophies. A hallmark of her style is the use of color in a monochromatic way. Even if the colors are vibrant, when you limit color contrast, it brings a sense of calm, order and serenity to a room. She even shared some of her favorite paint colors: Benjamin ... View Post
Emily Ruddo
I'm certain that if you've taken a look at the new (and awesome!) issue of High Gloss magazine, you too fell in love with the feature on the home belonging to LA-based designer Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors. I've shared her work before here and have met Emily in real life, so seeing her work published is very exciting and well-deserved! Besides being an absolute sweetheart, I just adore her unique blend of East Coast elegance and West Coast style. Photographer Meghan Beierle-O'Brien did a ... View Post

Another round of applause to the builder Morgan Hatfield of Hatfield Homes and Cristi's photography at Hiya Papaya! If you missed the tour, check out all five days starting here.I'm ... View Post
RLH Studio
I immediately bookmarked interior design firm RLH Studio when they won honorable mention in the Show Off Your Schumacher Wallcovering contest (and not just because they are from Minneapolis!) Since then I've seen the winning bathroom above floating around the blogopshere. And for good reason...is it not one of the most gorgeous bathrooms you've ever seen?? Schumacher's Albero Floreale in Aqua wallpaper is incredible, and looks perfect with the paint color on the makeup vanity. The corresponding ... View Post
