Kathleen Hay Designs

July 12, 2011

I just love me a quaint and cozy cottage. This two-room cabin in Nantucket photographed by Michael Partenio is surely one of the cutest I’ve ever come across. Designed by Kathleen Hay, the renovated space features pickled white oak floors and white horizontal paneling on the walls. I know I’m hearing three cheers for the pale seaglass-blue ceiling and the turquoise sand-blasted glass countertop though! What a dream! You guys have to head to New England Home because Kathleen actually designed the main home on property too and it’s just as lovely as this!

Three cheers for the ceiling for sure! Gorgeous! I just got back from the beach and the hubby and I have extreme-desperate-desire-for-a-beach-house-itis…and I may just have to paint the ceilings this color!

I love this, Erin! So often people forget to look up when they are designing. Ceilings have such a great impact on the look of the room and this seaglass-blue ceiling proves it!

I love blue ceilings! Our family room/kitchen ceiling needs to be painted and when we do it will be blue! My Hubby is ok with that too.
