There’s nothing better than a bunk room when it comes to sleeping a crowd. Whether it’s used by cousins, friends, or even adults, this incredible space designed by Bayberry Cottage is the epitome of fun! The vibrant summertime colors are perfect for the lakefront vacation home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I think what I love most are all of the unique architectural details throughout. (So many clever storage solutions!) It’s hard to believe the space used to be an unfinished room above a garage! Keep on scrolling to see of rest of this colorful space captured by Ashley Avila!
How smart are the drawers in the steps?! Such a great use of space.
Love the detail on the guard rails and all of the little niches!
The airy wall color (Benjamin Moore Kensington Green 710 – “lightened”) is the perfect backdrop for the layers of pattern.
I imagine lost of laughs happen in this nook! More smart storage in the built-in bench.
Again with the storage! Check out those fab turquoise knobs on the custom lockers.
Loving everything about this bathroom painted Benjamin Moore Heavenly Blue 709 “lightened”.
…especially that shimmery turquoise accent tile in the shower!!

I thought the design for the bunk bed is different and loved it. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors so really appreciated what you did with it.

This is wonderful! I love turquoise too but have a tendency to overdo it and there are some great ideas here to break it up while still making it the central color. I also love all the storage tips. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my!!! What a beautiful space!!! I definitely love that shade of blue by Benjamin Moore. It makes me want to redo my unused spaces in my home! Definitely inspiring! I especially love that dog painting. I love painting stuff like that. It’s so free and abstract. You don’t have to get every little detail perfect.
I have a cabin home and love decorating it with a rustic decor. Things look so casual and welcoming. I got a lot of my design ideas from a furniture store. It’s at http://www.bestcabindecor.com They have a lot of lighting options, which I like.

Love this design! I will be building a bunkhouse with a similar layout minus the bathroom and extra space-pretty much just the beds. My concern is how do you get around the breeds to make them in a design like this? Do you have the dimensions of this design? I’m thinking 12×15 with two queens on the bottom and two fulls up top. Would appreciate some advice.
