Affiliated Design & Construction Managers

March 2, 2018

You won’t stop daydreaming after seeing this tropical paradise! The colorful Key West, Florida cottage renovated by Affiliated Design & Construction Managers is all about a laid-back island lifestyle. When it comes to curb appeal, I can’t remember a home that made me so instantly happy. The turquoise and pink would stop me in my tracks! Inside, layers of bright color and fun pattern are balanced with white walls, weathered woods and natural elements. Whimsical touches throughout (especially the artwork!) create a lighthearted, carefree atmosphere that’s perfect for a getaway. And don’t even get me started on the guest cottage and poolside office!! Kick back, relax and enjoy!

Richloom R Gallery “Sitting Pretty” on the drapes captures the colorful, tropical vibe.

A turquoise subway tile backsplash always makes my heart skip a beat!

The wet bar made of reclaimed wood adds a ton of character to the space.

The master bathroom feels clean and luxurious. LOVE the tile!

Another great bathroom. Love the beachy elements.

Now on to my favorite area….the backyard! It seriously does not get any dreamier than this.

How cute is this guest cottage?? I’d happily stay here!

Here is it folks, my dream home office!!

what is it about a Key West home that makes it so instantly recognizable! This is one of the loveliest examples, though that coffee table is a bit jarring – but hey, it’s Key West, right? Do what you wanna!

Wow just perfection. The colors are just amazing. Currently hunkering down during a very bad storm on the coast in MA, patiently waiting for sunnier days! This post gives me hope, thank you!

Wow, this place is awesome! Love that master bath tile, it’s gorgeous. I could easily live permanently in the guest cottage, and that office is perfection! Love the bar made of reclaimed wood, it’s very unique (note though that because it’s not plumbed for a sink, it’s technically not a “wet” bar, but is actually called a “dry” bar even though it can be used for serving alcoholic drinks. Dry bars are great because you can put them anywhere; wet bars traditionally require plumbing for a sink.) I had a stunning wet bar in my old apartment, it was quite different that this beach-y version with the reclaimed wood. Great find, Erin!

[…] When you’re all up in the natural fibers shopping mode, it’s seems easiest to get your woven patterns with baskets. While that’s true, think about how much more effective a woven bed frame would be. Not only is it a vital piece of furniture, giving you the excuse to splurge, it gives you the freedom to choose whatever storage you like. […]

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
