After a family’s beloved beach house in Normandy Beach, New Jersey was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, they enlisted the help of interior designer (and fellow turquoise lover!) Jenny Madden of Jersey City-based Jenny Madden Design in the home’s rebuild. Sea glass, sea grass and seashells were the inspiration behind the home’s peaceful palette, with pretty blue-green hues popping up throughout. I just love this open and airy living room with its grasscloth walls, coffered ceiling and built-in shelves. Continue on to see more beautiful photos by Courtney Apple!
The designer carried on the family’s tradition of having a statement chair in the living room. The vibrant fabric really packs a punch in the soothing space!
Loving the chairs in the Saint John’s Blue finish from Hooker Furniture, so perfect for a beach house.
How gorgeous is the mother of pearl inlay sink? The Urban Electric Co. fixture in Seaside Bronze finish is beautiful too.
Not only is the master bedroom gorgeous, it has a view of the ocean! The capiz chandelier from Restoration Hardware is a stunner.
The oxidized copper sconces add a dash of turquoise to the tranquil master bathroom. Check out the coral-inspired chandelier!
There’s a lot to love in the cheery girls’ bathroom, especially the Harlequin wallpaper and turquoise accent tile.
