When a color-loving family wanted to renovate their shingled beach house in the Hamptons, they turned to New York City and Hamptons-based Scott Sanders LLC to transform their home into a place to relax, casually entertain and celebrate the ocean. The talented designer took his cues from the water when filling the home with vibrant blues and pairing them with with an array of happy hues. It was hard to pick, but not surprisingly the dreamy master suite ... View Post
AGK Design Studio
Whenever I need a dose of coastal design inspiration, I spend a little time checking out the portfolio of one of my favorite design firms, San Diego-based AGK Design Studio! I mean, how perfect is this dreamy beachfront project of theirs? The bright and breezy home captured by photographer Andrew Burn is elegant yet relaxed, with a soothing sea-inspired palette I absolutely adore! Tons of great texture and chic coastal accessories also provide a reminder of the beachy locale...but nothing more ... View Post
Profile Cabinet and Design
Kansas City's Profile Cabinet and Design blew me away with yet another fabulous kitchen! They created this dream space for a client of Leawood-based contractor Debra Hudacek, filling it with a palette of brilliant white and soft shades of blue. There are so many unique details to drool over like the arabesque tile backsplash, the mantel style hood and stunning hutch in the dining room! Totally in love with the dining room by the way. Those chairs are perfection! There's still more to see of the ... View Post
Cachemir Decoración
As a Minnesotan, I sympathized a lot with the owners of this Marbella, Spain home! The family lives in Norway where the winters are long, cold and dark, and they just wanted a warm and sunny place to escape to whenever they could! Their family friend and interior designer Rosa Rojí of Cachemir Decoración worked with them to decorate their new vacation home, filling it with natural and serene colors livened up with perfectly placed pops of turquoise! Naturally, special attention was paid to the ... View Post
KP Designs and Associates
This Traverse City, Michigan lake home designed by KP Designs & Associates is so warm and inviting, I'd never want to leave! The home definitely hints at the lake setting with its rustic charm and calm color palette throughout. The cozy four-season porch might be my favorite area; it's not too often you see such serene colors used in a cabin-like space, but the seafoam hues really soften the room and make it feel so much brighter! As for the rest of the home, it was the architectural ... View Post
AnaVera Design
When interior designer Ana Bonilla of AnaVera Design was tasked with designing a bedroom for a ten-year-old girl, she really took in the preteen's fun, funky and sweet personality! There was only one strong request...to have her favorite colors teal and gray be the main palette for her room. (Sherwin-Williams Tame Teal SW6757 and Passive SW7064 fit the bill perfectly!) I love how Ana added the fun gold decals, which can be removed down the road if need be! See more pics of the space captured by ... View Post
Summercamp Hotel – Martha’s Vineyard
As a former campgoer, I was delighted to discover the newly renovated Martha's Vineyard boutique hotel Summercamp! Boston-based Rachel Reider Interiors (of course!) was behind the fun, nostalgic and retro-chic design. Her team set out to create a modern interpretation of the spirit of camp; an inclusive place to gather, relax, refresh, and reconnect. I love how they captured the simple joys and carefree essence of summer...all without being overly thematic. Everything is just so bright, colorful ... View Post
Tammy Connor Interior Design
Not only was this home designed by one of my favorite designers, Tammy Connor, it's located in one of favorite places–near Seaside, Florida! (Oh that water!) What I love most about the home is how family memories and mementos were thoughtfully implemented into the design. I was surprised to learn the home is only three years old; it totally has the vibe of an old beach cottage–thanks to a ton of antiques as well as natural and handmade things with texture. My favorite genius idea?! The vintage ... View Post
