Alison Kandler Interior Design

May 10, 2017

Move over turquoise, might as well call this one House of Color! The bright and cheery Los Angeles home was designed by none other than Alison Kandler, one of my favorite interior designers, and was aptly featured in April’s Joy of Color issue of Country Living! The designer and family worked with architect Joan Swartz on the design of the new home, going for a “polished farmhouse” look with charming, rustic touches around every corner. The color palette of the entire home was inspired by the always-fab Chiang Mai wallpaper, with sky blue–the homeowners’ favorite color, woven throughout the design. How amazing is it on the Lacanche range?! What a dream! So in love with the pattern and color in every space…all of the beautiful fabrics and wallpaper, and especially the turquoise-and-green painted floor in the kids’ area. I could move right in and live happily ever after! Finish your tour with even more photos captured by John Ellis and styled by Heather Bullard, and read the article all about the home (including sources!) right here! And for more amazing designs by Alison Kandler, go here!

If I became Bill Gates I’d pay her whatever she asked to decorate my home. I’ve never disliked anything I’ve seen of hers.

Number 1 favorite designer ever. The detail that goes into her designs is unreal. I love to look at her instagrams over and over , like a child with their favorite book. I see new things each time.
The Oscar goes to Alison Kandler.

[…] Image around House of Turquoise You know we am a fool for flattering papers and patterns, as good as backing each bookcase, drawer, closet, and cupboard interior with them. So since not use some wallpaper bits or present hang or fabric to supplement a proxy matter in a witty way? For those not meddlesome in a long-term paperlationship, we suggest regulating a run-down putty to implement this special hold of color. […]
