I’ve been dying to share this incredible home with you! The 2015 Coastal Virginia Magazine Idea House built by Stephen Alexander Homes & Neighborhoods is located in Virginia Beach, just two blocks from the ocean. A little bit Virgina Beach, a little bit Nantucket, the dreamy idea home (photographed here by Jonathan Edwards) is filled with a soft palette of sand and aqua blue that feels so serene and peaceful! Susan Wilson of Goodwin Interiors was behind the interior design, with furnishings from Esprit Decor, that give the home its casual elegance that’s perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The architectural details are gorgeous too…I especially love all of the millwork! The master bath might be my favorite space–even though there’s not much turquoise! It’s my dream to have a bath that beautiful and spa-like! Love the laundry room too. The linen closet that opens to the hall is such a great idea! And the kitchen…oh my word…now I’m thinking that might be my favorite! Get more info on the home and see floor plans here, and read the great article all about it with even more photos right here!
Happy weekend! 🙂

Wow! This is sensory overload Friday! I can't even wrap my head around all the amazing-ness in this showhouse. It would take me several trips just to take it all in! However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the dining room featuring the chairs with the exaggerated scroll backs. To me, they add just the right amount of whimsy to the space!

Lovely peaceful home. Very family oriented. Unusually-shaped dining table. Love the day bed in one of the bedrooms. Picture above fireplace is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful. Very serene. Can you tell me the paint colors of the two larger bedrooms? I believe one is Tidewater but what is the name of the taupeish coloured room.
Thanks so much.

I thought that was a Stephen Alexander home! They are my favorite builders here in VA. I'm so very lucky to have walked through a few of their gorgeous show homes at Homearama and Parade of Homes.
