Cove Interiors

February 27, 2015

Cold Coast meets Cape Cod! This breezy home located in southeastern Queensland on the east coast of Australia belongs to interior designer Kate Gallie of Cove Interiors and her husband Price. The couple worked with Bayden Goddard of BGD Architects to design their dream home, one that embraced both their family and their lifestyle. The indoor/outdoor design is incredible! I love how airy and open the interiors feel, the sea-inspired color palette mixed with the rustic touches, and the chic coastal accessories throughout! You can see more photos by Steve Ryan and read the article all about the home over at Queensland Homes!

Have a great weekend!!

While this home is absolutely stunning, as a Floridian, I can tell you those jalousie (louvered) windows are the most energy in-efficient windows ever designed. They were very popular here in the '50's and '60's, but have mostly been replaced. They close "glass on glass"(no seal) and A/C goes out, and hot air comes in.Otherwise, gorgeous.
