Have you ever gone on vacation and were so excited to discover the place you were staying was so much more than you were expecting?? That’s what happened when we got to our condo “A Sight to Sea” in Seaside, Florida! I found it on VRBO and had seen photos and reviews, but was still blown away. It was absolutely adorable, so bright and cheery….and huge!! These photos really don’t do the size justice. It was two floors, the master bedroom with huge vaulted ceilings, views of the ocean, a private breezeway that led to a second bedroom…with an outdoor jacuzzi! And there was a washer and dryer! (Super awesome when traveling with a 3 month-old!) We also loved the bathroom–hello steam shower! Then there was a full kitchen, totally stocked with everything we needed, another half bath, and a beautiful balcony overlooking Seaside’s famous Central Square. And talk about the perfect location…right across from the beach, right next door and above restaurants and shops. It really was the perfect home away from home for our little family! And since we went during off-season, we got a great deal too! For more pics and to read all about it, visit Sandpiper Vacation Rentals or check out its profile on VRBO. If you missed my other post about Seaside and all its cute, colorful houses, see that here!
You know what though?? As amazing as all this was, the best part of the trip? Taking Wesley to the beach and letting him feel sand in his toes for the very first time.
That’s a moment I’ll never forget.
Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂

Awesome shot of you and Wesley! Love the art in the condo. Makes it feel more like a home.
Loce all the artwork. Wish I knew who the artist's were. Erin, I think that you all just need to move to Florida. You have such a love of it.
Meant to say "Love". I'm such a knucklehead.

AWW that is so sweet!A beautiful baby!
I read your blog all the time but have not ever written. I adore turquoise as well and I adore your blog. The images of turquoise are daily eye candy for me.
This part of Florida is very special. I go every year at least once, twice if possible. The town is a dream. Love the bikes, the houses, the food, the air, the perfect beaches, laid back living etc….. . Loved the condo!! Very nice. Thanks for sharing the photos.
That is an amazing experience! Little toes in sand!
The picture of you with your baby on the beach is precious. Beautiful in every way.
What a cozy beautiful, happy house!
Full of pillows that I love, and with color …
We feel good!
Great!

Look at sweet Wesley's face! He doesn't look so sure about that sand quite yet. Erin, he's the cutest little guy, you and Chris must be so happy!
I'd LOVE to know the artist and painting name of the long, narrow beach scene in the 13th pic, above. All the art is so beachy and lovely, but I need that painting in my home STAT. Any idea if you can help me with the info, Erin?
I will have to keep this place in mind for future vacations! Thank you for showing it to us.
Best,
Kimberly

We vacationed in Seaside last summer and your pictures make me want to go back!! It's such a gorgeous town! everything was perfect!
Your cottage was beautiful, we stayed in Far Niente right in central square! http://tidymom.net/2013/seaside-florida-cottages/
Off season is the best time to vacation for sure! Seaside is so cute.
That's a beautiful photograph of you and your son. One I'm sure you'll cherish forever. So sweet!
We go almost every year to Seaside-LOVE it-and every single house is SO fun and cutely decorated. Darling baby!
I love this! It looks like a real family lives there, and I would never have guessed it was a beach house until I saw the whale. The dining table and chairs make the space!
