Beach Glass Designs

November 12, 2013

Sometimes showhouse rooms can be a little over the top, but this guest bedroom designed by Jackie Higgins of Beach Glass Designs (photographed by Marco Ricca) for the “Home Is Where the Heart Is” Designer Showhouse in Glen Cove, New York is refined, comfortable and serene. I love the balance between the turquoise and soft neutrals, the chic furniture and the fab window coverings! I’m always a fan of ocean-inspired accessories too! You can actually still see this home in person; the showhouse is open to the public until Sunday, December 1–go here for more info! And head here to see even more projects designed by Jackie Higgins!

The artwork on the wall is extraordinary. I love the drape colors but the pattern is too busy for me.

I love the tasteful colours and styling, and even tho' I like the curtain fabric, I felt it was a little too much patterned fabric in a small room.

The curtain fabric is by P Kaufman, called Elton.

Wow this is so pretty. Reminds me of my suite at a resort I stayed at on Kauai!

This made me wish I could achieve the same look on my home too. It really looks so gorgeous. And I am pretty sure it would be so comfortable living in such place.

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
