Leave it to two of my favorites to create such an incredible home: Historical Concepts, the architect on the project, and interior designer Phoebe Howard. The farmhouse located on the grounds of Fontanel, just outside Nashville, Tennessee was the 2013 Southern Living Idea House, captured here by photographer Laurey W. Glenn. I’m loving all the rustic elements along with the serene color palette that was inspired by the surrounding sky and hills. It all feels so cozy! The master bedroom is just gorgeous…love that poster bed! The other bedroom is actually in an outside bunkie. What a beautiful private retreat for guests! I love everything about this house, but one thing that I don't understand: the antelope head above the bed. What is it that every designer feels they need to use an animal head or antlers in a room? I have seen this being used in the vast majority of design photos on the internet in the past year. Not very original!
