Now this is a first….a houseboat!! Apartment Therapy recently featured Belafonte, an awesome 34′ dreamboat located in Newport Harbor, Rhode Island belonging to artists and gallery owners Kristen Coates and Chris Wyllie. Along with her father–a master carpenter and builder, and with the help of family and friends, the couple entirely restored the boat to be what you see now. What a labor of love! (And it’s even available for rent!) Check out lots more great photos by Jacqueline Marque and read the story behind the fun houseboat here!
(The gorgeous sideboard is painted Muralo – Aqua Waters.)

Hi Luciane! Feeling good over here! 🙂 Isn't this boat great?! The dresser is painted Muralo "Aqua Waters"…LOVE the color!
Perfect! You really wouldn't need anything more, it's so cozy. And yes – the sideboard sink is the showstopper.
Love that!!! Somebody I know must be close to having a baby???? How are you?
Well, I've never seen a houseboat look THAT good!!!
Thank you for sharing my post!
This is totally "SEE WORTHY!" WOW! Anchors away! franki
What a beautiful boat. Would be a great way to spend the day
Nice details, they match perfectly!
I like the use of the color turquoise especially in this houseboat. Turquoise represents, to me, the clean waters and serenity of the ocean and it jus helps the entire houseboat blend in in its environment. I also liked the turquoise storage cabinet, which looks a little antiquated yet modern.
Perfect! You really wouldn't need anything more, it's so cozy. And yes – the sideboard sink is the showstopper.
