Oh what I’d give for turquoise appliances–the true testament to one’s love of turquoise! How fortunate you’d be to own a truly vintage appliance, but luckily for the rest of us there are a number of places that make retro-inspired refrigerators and stoves in a spectrum of beautiful colors. There’s seriously NO better way to add a pop of color to a white kitchen! And talk about fun!!

Here is a list of all the places I know that make turquoise-ish appliances! (Please comment if you know of more!)

  • Elmira Stove Works
  • Big Chill
  • Viking
  • AGA
  • BlueStar
  • Smeg (which are now available at West Elm!)

Thanks to all who entered the LoveFeast Table giveaway for the sets of HeartGram Heart Shaped Velvet Pumpkin Valentines! The two lucky winners are:

Cgal & Haley

Happy weekend!! Stay warm out there!

Oh my gosh I am in love with so many of these appliances! How perfect, we are getting a log cabin and now I think I want turqouise for the appliances!

Another option: You can always take an appliance to your local auto paint shop and have them give it a color makeover for a few hundred dollars.

BTW, Erin, I just have to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. It's my first read of the day — I love starting the morning with a dose of turquoise. : )

Unfortunately the Smeg is only available in pastel blue or a darker blue in U.S. And the Smeg model available here is super small. Unfortunately, they don't sell the models available in Europe. 🙁

The Big Chill allows one to customize the color of their appliances for a few hundred dollar upgrade.

The Northstar also looks like they allow customization of color.

Oh my, how adorably beautiful these are. Those appliances steal the show in these photos. I'm old enough to remember the days when some of these were used way back when. My fav post of the month I think. Thanks for the links, must look later at these Erin.

Erin, do ’50s Turquoise Appliances have any value, if they don’t work? My mothers house has a double sink (it does have some chips & scratches), a 24″ wide Hot Point Slide-in Oven, 30″ wide drop-in cook top, and dishwasher. I believe all are Hot Point, I can check later this weekend. The house was built in 1958.
My son lives there now & wants to remodel. The Oven quit, but a local appliance store said parts were available, the stove top has a push button burner that works sometimes, the other 3 have twist knobs & work.
we never used the dishwasher as it was loud and in close proximity to den & family area.
These are in Moore, OK just south of Oklahoma City.
