Karen White Interior Design

January 21, 2013

A Nantucket-inspired home in the middle of the mountains?! You’re looking at it! This beautiful home designed by Karen White Interior Design out of Basalt, Colorado and photographed by Jeremy Swanson is filled with serene blues and whites, exactly what the owners wanted for their renovated mountain home in Woody Creek, CO. I cannot tell you how much I adore the kitchen…all the white and marble and great pops of blue, not to mention fabulous windows everywhere! The spacious family room with the comfy blue furniture is great too…would love to curl up by the fire and watch a movie right there! Tour the rest of the fantastic home and see ‘before’ shots right here!

Love it! Especially the style of the bunk beds! I have twins and that style would work perfect!

That is one of the most perfect living rooms I have ever seen, but I would swap out the Ponderosa type leather ottoman for a fabric one in heavy whitle muslim to set off the beauitful furniture and ditch the deers. If it had soft blue and white decor added in imagine the possibilities. Other then that its perfect!

I want that bathroom! The emerald green and cool white are simply perfect to bring out the best in the carrara marble countertop. And I am liking this trend of a towel bar on the non-functional panel under the sink.

I would love to own that turquoise chest used as a bar in the dining room.

What an incredible transformation! Coming from Colorado originally, I can appreciate this even more, gorgeous area of Woody Creek.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this house. Love the colors. Love the open layout. Love the idea of the green and white bathroom. (Why didn't I think of that when we were renovating!) Love everything——except the animal head on the stone fireplace. It should be a lavender paper machie moose head.

btw – am LOVING the windows above the kitchen cabinets. What a great idea to let in light without sacrificing storage (and the height gives privacy)
