Guest Blogger: Ann & Hooper of Birds of a Feather

April 28, 2011

… to newlyweds Erin and Chris who are on their honeymoon sunning it up in Mexico, where the sand is white and the water is turquoise (shocker). Congrats you two and thanks for inviting us to guest blog. For those of you who do not know us we are Ann and Hooper from Birds of a Feather. We are inspired by Erin’s daily dose of turquoise and thrilled to share a little bit of our own. We finished this dining room in January, complete with Erin’s favorite hue.

The room is a little bit Ann and a little bit Hooper and in a constant quest to blend our styles, we styled this table for a portfolio photo shoot. Maybe we got a bit carried away since no one is actually coming to dinner. The client was thrilled and might just have to throw an impromptu dinner party…

The hand painted peacock mural adds a little whimsy to a sophisticated space
and plays off the zig zag drapes across the room. (For more whimsical spaces see here, here, and here). However you use your space no room is complete without the details…

details that make big statements…

ambiance…

and if you are entertaining, down to the place cards. It’s the tiniest details that make the biggest impact. (For more tiny details, see here).

Erin, we hope you are enjoying your honeymoon as much as we are enjoying our imaginary dinner party! Stop by on your way home… the table is set!

Bye, bye Birdie,

~Ann & Hooper
