Dream Workspace

January 10, 2011

One of things I was most excited about when I moved last year was finally having my own office. I had big dreams for the space…pretty AND efficient, an inspiring space full of color and life. That was 6 months ago. Right off the bat I got a fabulous new floor (thanks Dad!), pretty BM Waterfall walls (thanks Chris!)……and some leftover Ikea furniture from my apartment. No art, no curtains, no door even. So that’s my resolution for the new year, fancy up my workspace. This one from MyHomeIdeas would be perfect. They call it the “family control center”. I call it a turquoise blogger’s dream!

This is a dream workspace. So tranquil. I could look at this all day. I especially love that super long corkboard. I could use one of those in my mudroom.

    Erin,

When I saw this picture, at first I thought it was your office.. I was thinking "no wonder she's always so inspired!" Then, I noticed it isn't your office (yet!) 🙂 I am in the same way.. a work in process.. and the process is a little bit longer than yours… I'm selling this place to find my dream one. But I'll get there!

Listen, I am sure you never heard about "Linda Burger", she's from Canada and she's a great designer/architect from Vancouver. If you have a minute, come to take a look… lots of beautiful pictures. Let me know what you think, ok?

    Have a blessed week!

I thought exactly what Lucianne did – that this was your office and was wondering why you thought it needed sprucing up – looked pretty fabulous to me!! A wonderful inspirational space!

    * Welllll, Erin, it's just DIVINELY INSPIRING… lovvvve all the light (and "lightheartedness")!!!! I'd LOVE it "just for ME"!

…WE just fiiiiinally had "OUR" study done… TOTALLY opposite of this… stone wall, custom alderwood built-ins w/ special lighting & partners desk… masculine but not "OVER manly"… and I love it!!! (Hubby n' I are even having COFFEE in here while watching the a.m.news everyday, something we ALWAYS did in the "family room")… I'm simply in love with it all, which IS "what it's all about", right?

Can't wait to see your study progress! What a FUN, n' PRETTY project!!!

    Warmest wishes,
    Linda in AZ *

Ooohhh, this is a nice office, Erin! I could be productive in there! My favorite features are that amazing corkboard, the built-ins, and that pendant lamp.

BTW, I finally started my own blog! Its in its infancy, and there's not much content yet, but both HoT and ET are on my blogroll! I'm going to be doing some refinishing projects at some point and will capture the process there. In the meantime, I have links to three really nice give-aways on my blog if you or any of your readers want to come for a visit.

    Best to you,

    Kimberly
