Tobi Fairley Does it Again!

November 5, 2010

I fell hard for this gorgeous kitchen and family room when I saw it on Tobi Fairley’s blog (where she even shared before’n’afters!) Bless her heart because she created a whole page with details on how to give our own spaces this family-friendly look. Isn’t the velvet polka-dot fabric on the back of the chairs fantastic?! (Jane Churchill for Cowtan & Tout) It’s fun and elegant! If I could transport myself into this space, I would in a heartbeat! To read the story behind the cool and relaxing space, visit At Home in Arkansas. And for Tobi’s tips, go here! Have a great weekend!

I am in love with that living room! It looks so … CUSHY! And yes, Erin, that turquoise polka-dot fabric is fantastic — it looks dimensional and is just tempting me to pet it!

My favorite part is the adorable bench coming out of the island. I've never seen an eating area like that before, but I think it's genius! Thanks for sharing, Erin!

I just booked marked that kitchen today! I don't remember where I saw it, but it wasn't on Tobi's blog so I am excited to go and read the details. I love the colors and the fabrics. But I really loved the banquette placed at the end of the island. So great!

I really love Tobi Fairley! She has such a great design perspective. I also love all the colors she uses in her work. I particularly liked the recent energy efficient show room she did in Arkansas with the pops of orange and turquoise! It was so clever!

Oh I adore the curtain material. It is gorgeous. I need to find just this for my home.

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
