Molly Frey Design (& my bedroom!)

February 19, 2010

Feel like taking a mini-vacation to a friend’s coastal home?? Just head over to the portfolio of Molly Frey Design! Need some inspiration or ideas?? She also has a really cool blog waiting for you too. You might recognize some of Molly’s work…she’s responsible for that “effervescent bathroom” you all loved, as well as the stunning “heavenly kitchen” I posted about back in June. I was excited to learn that Molly is from Marblehead, MA, a charming little coastal town where my cousin and his family live. I’ve never been, but have been dying to go there for a visit!

Lastly, you guys have to head over to the blog belonging to Emily A. Clark…all week she’s been posting bedrooms that belong to some of our favorite bloggers. I’m thrilled that Emily asked me to participate! So if you want to see where I rest my head, head over here today…let me know what you think! 🙂

Have a great weekend everyone!

I think we should go to this MA house soon! I'll bring the sweet tea and you bring the pecan sandies! Deal? Deal.

Also…LOVE your bedspread! That turquoise and red combo always makes my heart skip a beat.

Sometimes I can't get over how people can use white so well. I think I would screw it up. I love this home – especially the kitchen which I hadn't seen your other post on before. It has a great layout with the huge island. My mom has a huge island in her house and it makes cooking, entertaining, and dining in the kitchen effortless and fun. I wish I would've seen that kitchen when I wrote my post earlier this week about functional kitchens.

Your bedrooms is so fun and colorful! I was surprised, but I love how you still blended your favorite colors in!

Great use of white indeed. There is white everywhere in this home but the amazing use of glass and turqoise makes this house plain cozy.
The rooms are all equally breathtaking. The antiques and the rustic look gives it a real homy feel that everyone would enjoy.
A vacation here would always entice the eyes of the onlookers.
Shall I just safely say now that I envy this home and, well, might as well as use this design as an inspiration the next time I renovate.
Great work! You just did an awesome job !

Karena and Hill Country House Girl – The designer Molly Frey was actually responsible for most of the artwork…talk about major talent! (She did not create the smaller landscapes or the painting of the pottery though.) Aren't they just beautiful?! The colors are fantastic!
