Echelon Interiors

January 4, 2016

I can't think of a better way to kick off the new year than with this bright and beautiful coastal Delaware home by Echelon Interiors! The color palette throughout is positively refreshing! Love the layers of blues and greens, fun mix and match of patterns and subtle nods to the beach. The turquoise tufted furniture in the family room couldn't be more fun too! If you're in the Millsboro, DE, you can tour this home in person...get that info and view floor plans here! And if you loved this one, ... View Post

Armijo Design Group

December 30, 2015

This beautiful Colorado home designed by Beth Armijo of Denver-based Armijo Design Group has such a fresh take on traditional style, I love it! The splashes of spring-like color brighten things up and instantly make you feel happy! (Those of us covered in snow right now can appreciate that!) The breakfast area is my favorite. Its banquette seating and central location make it a beautiful, functional place to eat, do homework, crafts or play games! I'm really loving that turquoise floral fabric ... View Post

HGTV Dream Home 2016

December 29, 2015

Every year I anxiously await the HGTV Dream Home, and with this year being their 20th anniversary, they certainly didn't disappoint! The amazing Merritt Island, Florida waterfront home was designed by interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn (with furnishings from Ethan Allen) who went with a Hamptons approach to the design, sticking with blue-grays in the main rooms and brighter colors in the private areas. Unlike other years, this Dream Home was a remodel, and thanks to licensed contractor Josh ... View Post

Heavenly Days – Seaside, Florida

December 28, 2015

The week between Christmas and New Year's is definitely one for relaxation! Heavenly Days is a bright and breezy beach cottage that would be my ideal place to rest up right now...just four houses up from the beach in picturesque Seaside, Florida! The look is decidedly coastal with a soothing palette of sandy neutrals and layers of blues and greens. Love how they painted all of the trimwork a pretty blue hue for a more playful vibe! The tower view looks amazing too...I can only imagine the ... View Post

Whitney Moore

December 23, 2015

Merry and bright–my favorite kind of holiday decor! This whimsical Mount Pleasant, South Carolina home belongs to Whitney Moore, owner of the home decor stores Candelabra and Lyndon Leigh. She shares the cottage with her two adorable daughters and says it's all about what they want when it comes to decorating for Christmas! I just love the unconventional color palette filled with turquoise, pinks and all sorts of happy hues! Her kitchen is especially fun. Love how she loaded the colorful ... View Post

Waterleaf Interiors

December 18, 2015

I'm a longtime fan of the Manhattan Beach, California interior design firm Waterleaf Interiors, so I was super excited to see the breezy home of designer Jill Johnson in the recent issue of Coastal Living! (And not just because she used the same whale wallpaper I did in Wesley's room!) Her sunny SoCal home just blocks from the beach is laid-back and livable yet filled with impeccable detail! Love the lighting so much...the chandeliers are especially gorgeous! The breakfast nook might be my ... View Post

Peter Cadoux Architects

December 17, 2015

A quick look through the portfolio of Peter Cadoux Architects, one of the most prestigious architectural firms in New England, will leave you daydreaming for hours! Of all of their highlighted projects, this incredible beach home was my favorite. The focal point throughout is no doubt the jaw-dropping view. I love how the neutral palette and splashes of turquoise don't compete with the beautiful coastal surroundings, they only enhance it! The windows are quite spectacular...can you imagine ...
