Every year I anxiously await the HGTV Dream Home, and with this year being their 20th anniversary, they certainly didn’t disappoint! The amazing Merritt Island, Florida waterfront home was designed by interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn (with furnishings from Ethan Allen) who went with a Hamptons approach to the design, sticking with blue-grays in the main rooms and brighter colors in the private areas. Unlike other years, this Dream Home was a remodel, and thanks to licensed contractor Josh Temple, major architectural changes took place that maximized the incredible view and emphasized indoor/outdoor living. But back to those private areas. I am in LOVE with the bedrooms and bathrooms, not to mention the vibrant turquoise media room! Yup, definitely a dream home! Starting January 1st, tune in to watch the transformation unfold on HGTV. And beginning today, you can enter daily for a chance to win the home! Just promise me if you win, I can come visit. Big party if I happen to win!

Incredible! Love the calming tones in the main area with the pops of color in the bedrooms and that swordfish art in the bathroom!

I can't wait to watch the special. My favorite thing in the house, by far, is that giant black and white surfing mural in the living room. I love love love it. I have to say though, I'm feeling like it's a tad overloaded on penny tile. A little is good, but man, there are so many great tile options out there, why did they have to use penny tiles in multiple bathrooms?

What's up with lamps literally covering up the TV screen? Too ridiculous. It's lovely and all but I hate when a "dream home" does something irrationally impractical like this. Total interior design pet peeve.

This is not my favorite dream house. I love the mural but the colors paired with it are cold. No warmth. I like the brighter colored rooms but they lack softness to me.

Such a disappointment. I missed the local flavor and unique touches Linda Woodrum brought to each Dream Home. The mural picture choice was a huge miss. The best part was outside.

I work for Ethan Allen, and many of the beautiful items are from our company. It is disappointing that no credit is given to us!
