A kitchen that is as beautiful as it is functional always makes my heart skip a beat...especially when breezy blues are involved! Lauren Shadid Architecture, a full-service studio in Los Angeles that specializes in residential and commercial architecture and interiors, designed this fantastic space. The attention to detail here is what I love most! The pretty color on the island and backsplash was inspired by the white quartzite slabs which had some unique aqua-colored crystals in a few ... Caitlin Wilson
This living room designed by Caitlin Wilson is is so positively cheerful, I love it! The talented designer filled the room with beautiful, fresh color and layers of pretty patterns! I'm such a fan of Caitlin's textile line and was happy to see some of it used here, along with her new upholstered furniture line as well as her rug! LOVE that painting too, a custom commissioned piece by artist Britt Bass. The floral fabric from Designers Guild is another beautiful touch! And how fun is the painted ... View Post

Happy Halloween!! I had to share this home tour from Crafts by Courtney with you guys, filled with coastal-inspired fall decorations! JS Interiors
I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I saw this one! The breathtaking beach home in Kennebunk, Maine was designed by Justene Spaulding of JS Interiors out of South Boston, Massachusetts and captured by photographer Trent Bell. No doubt the designer took her color cues from the water outside using serene blues and greens all throughout, even on the ceiling! I'm in love with the hardwood flooring and her use of natural textures too! And did I mention the backsplash?!? *sigh* See even more ... View Post
One Room Challenge – Week 5
I can't believe there is only ONE week left in the One Room Challenge! For the past five weeks I have been decorating a loft area in our son Wesley's room. (To catch up on previous weeks, see week 1, week 2, week 3 and week 4.) This past week had some ups and downs. I'll start with the good news first: our guard railing arrived yesterday! I'll give you the back story on the railing...before Wesley was born I shared this photo from K Mathiesen Brown Design as part of a home tour on House of ... View Post
New Old
This beautiful bathroom was my favorite space in a farmhouse-inspired home by New Old–a Charlotte, North Carolina custom home builder. How great it would be to have a vaulted ceiling, sparkling chandelier, huge windows, two separate vanities plus a makeup vanity! Not to mention gorgeous clawfoot tub! And of course I love the shower tiles and the walls, especially the color...Benjamin Moore Tranquility AF-490! Don't miss out on the rest of the home with even more photos by Cal Mitchener, head ... designstiles
There are so many pretty details to drool over in this home designed by Irene Lovett of designstiles, a Los Angeles interior design firm that specializes in nurseries and kids' rooms. Her client wanted a casual, bright and relaxed California vibe, and I'd say that's exactly what she got! I love how cozy and collected it feels, with unique vintage pieces mixed in with new ones. The wallcoverings are just gorgeous too!! Read all about the home and see lots more photos taken by Sabra Lattos over at ... View Post

There is something so refreshing and renewing about a beach house, even just looking at photos of one puts me in a better mood! Lillian August is the one to thank for today's coastal pick-me-up, located in Fairfield, Connecticut. I'm especially loving the bedrooms in the home...their serene color palettes and beautifully cozy bedding make for the perfect place to end each day!
