Guest Blogger: Kelly Rogers of Interiors for Families

November 26, 2014

Hey there! I’m Kelly Rogers, of Interiors for Families and Kelly Rogers Interiors. As a longtime reader of House of Turquoise, I am tickled pink (or, should I say, a mid-tone blue-green) to be filling in for Erin today while she is enjoying some well-deserved sunshine down in Florida. Do you know anyone who has delayed decorating their home because they have small children, and are worried the little ones will just destroy all of their beautiful things? Maybe this even describes you? And when ... View Post

Guest Blogger: Lisa of Lisa Mende Design

November 25, 2014

Hello! My name is Lisa Mende from Lisa Mende Design. Thank you so much Erin for allowing me to guest post for your readers, while you are on holiday with your family. When you asked me to guest blog, my mind immediately went to the bedroom and bath, Robin Baron designed for Ronald McDonald Long Island Project Design Phase Two. While the room isn't turquoise from head to toe, it does have turquoise as the exclamation point of the room. The initial renovation of the Ronald ... View Post

Guest Blogger: Amanda from Dixie Delights

November 24, 2014

As always, I am super excited and flattered to be entertaining y’all at House of Turquoise today!  With two school aged boys, this fall I relocated the toys to the basement and transformed our playroom into a family office.        Okay, okay, so y’all are probably thinking that it doesn’t look much like an office.  And you would be quite right!!!  This is the most versatile space in the house, I think.  It is the first room off the foyer and ... JS Interiors

November 21, 2014

I adore all of the beautiful blues and sandy neutrals in this waterfront home in Kennebunk, Maine designed by Justene Spaulding of JS Interiors! The fabulous mix of fabric, color and texture give the traditional home such a fresh, modern feeling–perfect for its ocean-side location! That bedroom has to be one of the most serene spaces I've ever seen...love every inch! The breakfast nook is an absolute dream too! You can see lots more of the home right over here! With that, I am off to pack! We ... View Post

Duneier Design

November 20, 2014

Designer showhouse rooms are always so fun! This bright and airy kitchen and breakfast area was designed by Jennifer Duneier, principal of New York-based Duneier Design for last year's Holiday House Hamptons. The space, "Summer Solstice", was inspired by the longest day of the year, perfect for summer entertaining! I love the blue ceiling, tiled accent wall and custom stainless steel hood, not to mention the incredible confetti glass light fixtures and drapery fabric too! See more photos by ... View Post

Rob Stuart Interiors

November 19, 2014

I instantly fell in love when Ashlina shared this chic Manhattan home on The Decorista! The West Village townhouse designed by Rob Stuart and photographed by Donna Dotan is all sorts of fabulous! Can we just stop and stare at that rug a little bit longer?? Seriously amazing! I was surprised to learn the home is only ten years old. The designer did an incredible job adding details you'd expect to find in a turn-of-the-century townhome. I mean look at that kitchen?! Read all about the home and see ... View Post

Highgate House

November 18, 2014

I'm constantly inspired by Australian design, including interior designer Leigh Boswell and her team at Highgate House–the talent behind this gorgeous inner-city Brisbane apartment captured by RixRyan Photography! The palette of the home was inspired by the embroidered Manuel Canovas fabric used on the sectional pillows...so beautiful! They continued the scheme throughout the home, using a mostly a neutral palette with texture and pops of turquoise. Love the use of wallpaper in the home too! You ... View Post
