Oh how I love Jane Coslick! She just never disappoints, does she? How adorable is this bedroom in the Key Lime Parrot Cottage on Tybee Island. Jane said that when they were done renovating it, there was no room left in the budget for "fun stuff", so she was forced to be more creative. Now it's one of her favorite rooms in the cottage! I can't wait to get to Tybee one day, it looks like such a neat place...a perfect combination of fun energy mixed with an easygoing, restful vibe. Just what I ... View Post
Mabley Handler Interior Design
Last week you all LOVED the seafoam bathroom by Mabley Handler Interior Design so much, I thought I'd share more from their portfolio. After seeing the photos, it didn't surprise me to learn that Jennifer Mabley and her husband Austin Handler focus their design business on projects in the Hamptons. I like what Jennifer had to say in Hamptons Magazine: "A lot of our clients have similar needs for their homes, but are coming from different points of view. Some are trying to capture a feeling from ... View Post
Beautiful and Beachy Nantucket Home
When Daniella of Dress, Design & Decor featured the lovely bathroom above, I had to head to New England Home to see more! I'm so glad I did, because I fell hard for this Nantucket home styled by Stacy Kunstel and photographed by Michael Partenio. I'm not at all surprised that the Midwestern couple who live here bought it sight unseen. I love how they transformed it with the beachy palette reminiscent of Nantucket. I also thought it was cute that the husband had only one request—the antique ... View Post
Lustrous Seafoam Bathroom
Ooooh do I ever love this room!!! This luxurious master bath from the Hamptons Cottages & Gardens 2006 Idea House was designed Mabley Handler Interior Design. I love all the iridescent seafoam green subway tiles in the two different sizes and slightly different shades, and the mosaic floor tile designed in a beautiful wave pattern....just perfect for its Hampton's location! The cozy nook enclosing the fabulous slipper tub is the real show-stopper here though. I wouldn't mind lazing away in ... View Post
Retro Lake Cottage in Maine
Sweet Stephanie of the blog Royal T Designs (and Dockside Dogs, the cutest little dog boutique ever) was just up in Maine visiting the most adorable cottage I've ever laid eyes on. The little lake home belongs to her aunt and uncle who completely renovated the space themselves. She said before they got their hands on it it was a total mess of a shack. They tore it down to just the beams, then collected all the awesome original 50's appliances, dishes, flooring, countertops, cabinets, etc. They ... View Post
Key West Kitchen
I was so excited to spot this cheery kitchen photographed by Tria Giovan on MyHomeIdeas. I'm still so obsessed with yellow and turquoise! Can you imagine how blah this room would be if the cabinets weren't painted that pretty aqua?? I love the open shelves too, what a great way to display that colorful collection of dishware. Cute cute cute!(Wall paint: Hibiscus (2027-50) by Benjamin Moore; Cabinet paint: Aquatint (6936) by Sherwin-Williams) ... View Post
Southern Seaside Style
These folks in South Carolina don't exactly live seaside (although according to the map, they're a heck of a lot closer than I am!) but you'd never know it from their charming home designed by Jim Strickland of Historical Concepts, photographed here by Laurey W. Glenn for a feature in Southern Living. I swear I'm hearing waves after looking at all those breezy porches! That swinging daybed?! I WANT ONE! I love all those shutters so much too, you just don't see them up here in Minnesota. We do ... View Post
Dreamy Blue Cabinet
Another incredible cupboard this week, courtesy of the lovely Maria of Dreamy Whites. It's a total show-stopper in that otherwise white room. I can't think of a better way to show-off her fantastic collection of antique jars, pitchers and grain sacks! The chicken wire is so perfect too! The antique cabinet was actually this color when she bought it, but one side of it wasn't painted so she had it color matched. I love that she painted the inside a subtle gray...I love blue and gray! To see lots ... View Post
