Beautiful and Beachy Nantucket Home

August 10, 2010

When Daniella of Dress, Design & Decor featured the lovely bathroom above, I had to head to New England Home to see more! I’m so glad I did, because I fell hard for this Nantucket home styled by Stacy Kunstel and photographed by Michael Partenio. I’m not at all surprised that the Midwestern couple who live here bought it sight unseen. I love how they transformed it with the beachy palette reminiscent of Nantucket. I also thought it was cute that the husband had only one request—the antique chestnut floors that run throughout the house. They certainly are beautiful! Read all about the renovation and see more pics here!

Dream house! I love the vaulted ceilings and all the windows. The location isn't too shabby either. I wonder if the desk was built in or added after?

    Very charming!
I love Nantucket. We got married there 10 years ago. We were actually there in July for a week….
Some many beautiful, charming homes on the island.
One can dream about how they are each decorated.

This one is beautiful… and the husband was right about the the antique chestnut floors…

Oh, Erin, sometimes the pics you post make me want to weep with joy at the beauty. I think I just drooled on those chestnut floors. They're gorgeous! In the first pic, the window seats with storage, the ottoman and the fireplace tile are just wonderful. Love all the natural light!

Cool fish tile detail on in the kitchen and the built-in desk makes a nice place to play and work. And the glass tile in the bathroom – oh!
