Guehne-Made

July 29, 2014

Nick and Wendy Guehne of Kansas City-based Guehne-Made are turning heads once again! The gorgeous kitchen was the main focus here, but the talented duo completely transformed this entire home, gutting and redoing the main areas as well as refinishing all the hardwoods and painting every inch of home. What used to be a bedroom is now the fab laundry/mudroom/office–love that space and love the dutch door! The kitchen is my favorite though, it’s just doesn’t get more beautiful than that! Trust me, the before-n-after photos of this one are not to be missed! You can see those as well as get all the source info right over here! And check out Guehne-Made for even more!

Paint Colors (all Sherwin-Williams)
Hearth room ceiling -Tidewater
Island – Tidewater
Dutch door – Spa
Bath – Watery
Entry – Meander Blue

It’s a photo shoot, not inviting you to use the loo.

Love the kitchen-but the family room looks "off" with the furniture placement and no rug.

What is up with the wallpaper in the bathroom?? I love the bright, pretty, peaceful look of the house very much, but then you walk into the bathroom and BAM! So out of sinc with everything else. And such a large pattern and riot of bright colors. And not a drop of aqua/turquoise in the paper to help coordinate it with the color in the bathroom.
The colorful painting over the fireplace is fine, since it is paler and also
has some aqua in it, unlike the bathroom wallpaper.

Fantastic house! Would move in tomorrow! I'm going to guess that they just haven't finished the living room decor yet??? And as for the bathroom wallpaper, it's the perfect pop of color. It's unexpected and breaks the monotony (not a bad thing) of the rest of the house.
