What’s better than Benjamin Moore’s Wythe Blue?! A whole kitchen filled with it! Interior designer Karen Garlanger out of St. Joseph, Michigan was inspired by the cloud color in the granite when she chose one of my favorite paint colors for the custom cabinets. What a statement! You can read more about it over at Cultivate! Have you guys heard of that site?? I just learned about it yesterday and am hooked. It’s entirely devoted to kitchen design, with loads of highly-pinnable photos, ideas, advice, that sort of stuff. A terrific resource if you’re planning (or dreaming of!) a new space or remodel…or just plain love kitchens! Check it out here!

Wow, great colour. I'm not brave enough to use a bright colour for all the cabinets…. maybe I can tiptoe into it with just the bottoms or island.

Love wythe blue. It looks great on those cabinets. I am trying to find somewhere in my house to use it. It seems to look good in everybody else's house except mine!

Beautiful colour. I took a risk and got new kitchen cabinet doors in duck egg blue housed in dark grey end panels and matching dark grey base boards (in U.K.) we call it skirting. It will take me a long time to embrace change but it looks as if I have had a new fitted kitchen and all that was changed was the doors. 36 doors and 5 drawer fronts. Makes the kitchen look larger. The worktops are in pearl blue granite which looks grey and is patterned. The new doors were hung so that they work better. I have re-organised my layout in cabinets and it works better. It has taken me over 40yrs. to get it right. Everything in its place and easily accessed. No more looking to find anything. It is all within easy reach. Now the start of a New Year will bring new changes and a de-cluttering. A new blind and rugs will just add the finishing touches. Taking a risk to change cabinet doors only is cheaper and you get the look you want without the cost of replacing the carcases of the cabinets. Just new handles and job done.
