ECOterior Solutions | Crisp Architects

May 15, 2012

I feel like we don’t see a lot of rustic country homes using turquoise, but interior designers Carolyn Tierney and Diane Susoev of ECOterior Solutions are showing how it’s done in this Dutchess County, New York farmhouse renovated by Crisp Architects and photographed by Rob Karosis. It might not be the style I’d choose for my own home, but there is something so comforting and warm about this home that is so hard to resist! I love that cozy bedroom…how nice to have a little sitting area, fireplace and tv hidden away barn door style! And of course I love the walls painted Benjamin Moore “Blue Porcelain”! 🙂

Ooh, I pinned one of these pictures a while back because I was recommending that orange with the blue/green drapes color combo to someone! Do you happen to know the name of the shade of orange??

I love almost everything about this house, with the exception of the wood/tile floors in the kitchen and dining room. Those are hideous. The tv cabinet above the fireplace is cute.

Before I got to the end of this post I was convinced this home is somewhere in Texas. I was shocked to see it is in New York!

I'm with Cyndia on the kitchen floors – not a fan.

So Beautiful! You mentioned Erin that the color blue porcelain was used. That is not the color of the fireplace bedroom is it? Just curious. Thanks!

Hi Kim, Yes, according to the designers that bedroom is actually Benjamin Moore Blue Porcelain! Maybe the lighting really changed it! Photography too can make a big difference!
