Allison Hennessy Interior Design

March 6, 2012

If you’re not yet familiar with New York designer Allison Hennessy, I’m super excited to make the introduction–I’m positive we’ll be hearing a lot about her in the future! In fact, she was just selected as one of Traditional Home’s “New Trad 10” for 2012 (nominated by Stacey Bewkes of Quintessence.) Like the editors, I too love her fresh take on traditional design. Before starting her own firm, she worked for a lot of amazing designers, including two of my all-time favorites: Phoebe Howard and Meg Braff. And to top it all off, Allison is incredibly sweet! AND she has a blog called Manner of Style that you all must check out! I love these two rooms that she designed…awesome furniture of course, but the fab turquoise fabrics and fun patterns really bring it to life!

Someone told me about the designer fabric website a few weeks ago and I have been checking it daily. I adore Quadrille fabric but it is way beyond my price range. Thanks for tip about Allison. Phoebe Howard and Meg Braff are two of my favorite designers as well.

The thing I like about this post is how "real" the space is – this looks like a home I might see next door or down the street, an attainable home, if that makes sense.

Glad everyone likes this apartment – thank you for checking it out! The armoire was custom made but you can find a similar one at Oly.

I love the turquoise details! They are so beautiful against the white, they really pop on the bedding. We are currently redoing our bedroom, but have been stuck- we basically bought new sheets from Thomas Lee and then we stopped. Hopefully this will inspire us to get in gear!

Great uses of blue and white! We included you in our recent blog post about decorating in creative ways with ceramic lamps and color.

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
