Krista Salmon

December 13, 2011

Sometimes I wish I was little again, if only to have a insanely fun room like this one! Designed by Krista Salmon of Kiki’s List for her lucky little girl Lou, the new big girl room displays attention to detail like no other! Virginia artist Corinne Marlowe painted those fab stripes on the ceiling, which match Krista’s great paint job on the bed. I love the adorable P. Kaufman “Camelot” fabric on the windows, Benjamin Moore’s Bird’s Egg on the walls…and no doubt about it, that gorgeous chandelier! At first I thought it was my beloved designed by Marjorie Skouras, but turns out it was custom made by Lindsey of the Etsy shop Simply Salvage, who hand painted over 4,000 beads Bird’s Egg to match the walls! For sources and to see more photos taken by the talented Ryann Colleen, head on over to Kiki’s List!

Today I’m honored to be guest posting at my friend Luciane’s blog, HomeBunch, where I shared a super cute coastal cottage with her readers! Head on over and check it out, and wish her a big congrats…she just had an adorable baby boy Matthew and I couldn’t be more excited for her!

I'm pretty sure this room sits among my almost 800 pins on Pinterest – haha. I loved decorating even as a little girl and loved bright colors and bold patterns like in this room. I would have loved this! I can't wait to have daughters – we will decorate up a storm, I'm sure!!

I want this room and I'm 30! I don't think you're ever too old to have pink stripes on your ceiling!

$450 for the hand-made chandy seems like a bargain to me. My favorite thing in this room is the ceiling.

Thank you Erin for featuring Lou's room. She absolutely LOVES her room, and more importantly, sleeps in it each night. Appreciate it! K.

Breathtaking. I have seen that chandelier before but not in a pale blue. So very stunning.
