Life in Grace

November 21, 2011

I’m sure many of you have spent a fair amount of time drooling over this adorable room! As you may know, Edie of of the blog Life in Grace lost her entire home and furnishings in a house fire last December. Her family has since rebuilt, and their new home is absolutely incredible…so full of joy and life! Edie’s daughters’ room above that she designed with Darlene of Fieldstone Hill Design is my favorite I think, the colors and fabrics are so up my alley. I just love those Painted Vintage Jane Iron Beds in (antique brass) all dolled up in my favorite Serena and Lily bedding. I also adore the turquoise chest, which Edie says is the most wonderful dresser in the world. They actually built that little nook between their closets just for it! And of course, we can’t forget to mention the pretty wall color…one of my favorites actually, Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams. Visit Life in Grace for more images, and f0r the rest of the source information!

I love the way those mirrors reflect (sorry!) the shape of the flowers on the bedding. Very clever.

By the way, my friend wants to makae her basement country style, and wants to use some sendra boots as decorative object. I think she wants to use them as a vase, or something like that.. I think its a crazy idea, what can i tell her to forget about this???

Lighting is one of the most important elements of a room. Your light should make your room come alive in an instant with a unique and lovely glow. Light shades not only add style but function to your rooms, as the right lighting is necessary for kitchens, bedrooms, living room and bedroom also…

I have had this bookmarked since the day it was posted, and finally bought a sample of Sea Salt the other day. My master bedroom is a work-in-progress, and yet the colors were determined long ago: turquoise and coral-ish pink (I convinced my husband a dash of pink was a good thing), with hints of ivory, khaki and walnut. The Sea Salt is amazing, will be painted in my bedroom before week's end, and I am soo thrilled to have discovered it! Thank you!!!
