Kate Jackson Design

July 20, 2015

I can't imagine anything more beautiful to admire on a Monday morning! This slice of turquoise paradise comes from Kate Jackson, a Rhode Island interior designer whose work I have admired for a very long time! Photographed by Nat Rea, this shingle-style beach house located in Providence ranks right up there with one of my most favorite homes of all time. All of the varying shades of blue layered throughout the home on the neutral backdrop is incredibly striking. The turquoise sofa against the ... View Post

I've been dying to share this incredible home with you! The 2015 Coastal Virginia Magazine Idea House built by Stephen Alexander Homes & Neighborhoods is located in Virginia Beach, just two blocks from the ocean. A little bit Virgina Beach, a little bit Nantucket, the dreamy idea home (photographed here by Jonathan Edwards) is filled with a soft palette of sand and aqua blue that feels so serene and peaceful! A gorgeous laundry room like this one by Ashley Winn Design has to be the ultimate luxury! Just having that much space is a dream...I can't imagine having all that fantastic storage! Love the little counter area perfect for crafts or homework, beautiful tile, lighting, beams, open shelving, and of course the serene cabinet color! Oh and how fun is that coral sliding door?! Seriously such a dream space! If you thought this was beautiful, wait until you see the rest of the Salt Lake City, Utah ... View Post

Patriot Builders

July 8, 2015

This airy coastal Cape Cod cottage by Patriot Builders is such a delight! You just can't go wrong with a breezy blue and white color scheme in a beach house! What I'm really loving though is the attention to detail here. The compass rose stenciled on each step of the ladder, the sand dollar curtain tie-backs, starfish accents on the bathroom hardware, the turquoise mason jars for bathroom storage, the sliding door...definitely some great ideas! I adore the collection of bottles too! See more ... View Post

Christopher’s Home Furnishings of Nantucket

July 6, 2015

The all-white palette of this home by Christopher's Home Furnishings of Nantucket feels bright and airy, but it's the turquoise that gives it personality! It really doesn't take much, just some beautiful artwork, pretty throw pillows, and perfectly placed accents! Love how all the different textures from the flooring, sheers, rugs, and chairs add a ton of interest and warmth to the clean, minimalist home too. Finish your tour with more photos by Jeff Allen right over here! And for another one ... View Post

My Deck Makeover Reveal!

June 26, 2015

Summers go by so quickly here in Minnesota, it's really a shame to have such a great outdoor area and not put it to good use! After we had a new sliding door installed this spring (one that actually opens!), we were more determined than ever to fix up our deck! We already had the super comfy outdoor sofa sitting in our basement (an outlet score from a few years ago) and the white dining table/chairs, but we brought in some fun new pieces to make it a colorful, happy place where we could take ... Rosa Beltran Design

June 19, 2015

I'm ready to pack everything up and move after seeing this inspiring Los Angeles bungalow designed by Rosa Beltran! The breezy seafoam wall color is the perfect backdrop for this coastal-inspired living/dining room. The fabulous turquoise velvet armchairs already belonged to the client, and I love that the designer not only incorporated them, she used them as the jumping-off point for the room's beachy color palette! The built-in bookcase is one of my favorite elements of the space; it is styled ... View Post

Sea Ya’ – Cinnamon Shore

June 18, 2015

I guess it's time to admit I'm completely obsessed with all the amazing homes in Cinnamon Shore, the picturesque beach-front community in Port Aransas, Texas. This fun and fabulous beach house above is called Sea Ya' and it's definitely a dream vacation retreat, perfect for a big group! I love how the designer incorporated unique reclaimed and repurposed pieces; they give the brand new home such great rustic character! The bunk room and first floor family room are tons of fun too...the kids in ... View Post
