HGTV Smart Home 2013

April 15, 2013

I feel like HGTV could of had me on speed dial when designing their 2013 Smart Home! I caught the tour on TV over the weekend and was super-impressed with all high-tech components of the Jacksonville Beach, Florida home. But I'm not going to get into any of that, I'm here to talk turquoise–this home was overflowing with it! Interior designer Linda Woodrum went all out with the sea-inspired color palette, going for a relaxing but fun look...perfect for a vacation home by the beach. I don't know ... View Post

Martha O’Hara Interiors

April 12, 2013

One of my most favorite designers (who just happens to be based in Minneapolis!) is Martha O'Hara Interiors. Looking at this sunny, coastal inspired home photographed by Troy Thies, you'd think we were somewhere warm by the sea. No folks, it's here in Minneapolis...the same place that just got hit with a ton of new snow! The office/mudroom is my favorite space, the cutest one I've ever seen! LOVE that bench painted Benjamin Moore "Forget Me Not" and the striped wallpaer! The kitchen is ... View Post

Armijo Design Group

April 8, 2013

I say it all the time, but I just love a neutral palette with pops of turquoise! This Denver home designed by Beth Armijo of Armijo Design Group is awash in soothing, nature-inspired colors and patterns. I'm loving the vibrant artwork in all three rooms, the cozy banquette in the breakfast nook, and all of the rugs throughout! The kitchen is gorgeous too, definitely head over to Colorado Homes & Lifestyles to check it out, read all about the home, and see more photos by Kimberly Gavin!  ... View Post

The Pleated Poppy

April 3, 2013

I read San Luis Obispo, California was named the happiest city in America...the perfect place for this cheery home photographed by Joe Johnston! It's pretty obvious some very creative souls live here. Homeowner Lindsey Cheney is the blogger and handcrafted accessories designer behind The Pleated Poppy, something to definitely check out. I'm loving the colorful and open family room and kitchen–especially the collection of globes! The family actually spends 90% of their time in the playroom ... View Post

Lulu Designs

March 22, 2013

Anyone recognize this house?? Interior designer Lindsay Espinoza of Lulu Designs out of Costa Mesa, California designed the house for HGTV’s Showhouse Showdown. I adore the color scheme she chose for the home; the cool blues, greens and greys with the turquoise is so up my alley! I'm especially loving the reclaimed barnwood in the bedroom, one of my favorite Angela Adams rugs in the living room, and the striking blue cabinets in the kitchen! Oh and even a nursery, how about that! ;) See more ... View Post

Kim Hoegger HOME – Osage Beach, Missouri

March 19, 2013

I am so ready for summer! This Lake of the Ozarks home in Osage Beach, Missouri designed by Kim D. Hoegger, an interior designer out of Rockwall, Texas, is the epitome of relaxed summer fun! What I love most (other than the beautiful wall colors!) is that the entire home photographed here by Bill Mathews was done with a wallet-friendly budget. In addition to using existing furnishings, Kim stuck to sources like HomeGoods, Home Depot, local antique stores and Round Top Texas. The look is cheerful ... View Post

Dana Small Designs

March 11, 2013

Living up here in Minnesota I can relate to wanting a bright and and cheerful home all year round, like the homeowners of this fun cottage on Lake Michigan designed by Dana Small. I am seriously loving that light-filled kitchen...those stools are too cute! (Found the cushion fabric here!) The bold family room is super fun too, love the Lilly Pulitzer fabric on the pillows and curtains. Finish your tour with more photographs by Lisa Romerein and read all about the home in Coastal Living! And for ... View Post
