The local motto "where the mountains meet the sea" was the inspiration behind the recent renovation of Whitehall–a boutique hotel in Camden, Maine, designed by Boston-based Rachel Reider Interiors. I love how the designer incorporated lots of natural elements like grasscloth, weathered woods, aged metals, barn board and rope. And did you notice the incredible runner going up the stairs? It's by Maine-based Angela Adams; I'm a longtime fan of their incredible nature-inspired rugs! The talent of ... View Post
Cristi Holcombe Interiors
You guys know I'm gaga over turquoise and pink! Imagine my delight when I saw this bedroom and bathroom by Cristi Holcombe...it was love at first sight! The talented Atlanta-based interior designer created the space (photographed here by Christina Wedge) for an 11-year-old girl, who I know will appreciate the design for a very long time to come. I can't decide what I love more...the fab mix of linens on the bed (love that turquoise fabric from Lacefield that's also used for the drapes!), or the ... View Post
Patriot Builders
This airy coastal Cape Cod cottage by Patriot Builders is such a delight! You just can't go wrong with a breezy blue and white color scheme in a beach house! What I'm really loving though is the attention to detail here. The compass rose stenciled on each step of the ladder, the sand dollar curtain tie-backs, starfish accents on the bathroom hardware, the turquoise mason jars for bathroom storage, the sliding door...definitely some great ideas! I adore the collection of bottles too! See more ... View Post
Welcome to the Mouse House
I am feeling super inspired today...this has to be one of my favorite kitchens ever! The bright and cheery space belongs to Hayley Crouse of Welcome to the Mouse House and Mouse House Creations. She recently shared her kitchen remodel on her blog and I am IN LOVE with every single detail! The shimmery turquoise backsplash (that she found on Craigslist!!), fabulous capiz chandelier, big farmhouse sink, colorful roman shade, clean white cabinets and counters...it's all so up my alley and just what ... Christopher’s Home Furnishings of Nantucket
The all-white palette of this home by Christopher's Home Furnishings of Nantucket feels bright and airy, but it's the turquoise that gives it personality! It really doesn't take much, just some beautiful artwork, pretty throw pillows, and perfectly placed accents! Love how all the different textures from the flooring, sheers, rugs, and chairs add a ton of interest and warmth to the clean, minimalist home too. Finish your tour with more photos by Jeff Allen right over here! And for another one ... View Post
Happy 4th of July!
Just popping in to wish you all here in the US a fantastic 4th of July weekend! We are still up in northern Minnesota at the cabin, but I've been saving these pictures for so long, knowing they'd be perfect to share for the fourth! This adorable coastal home is in Seabrook, Washington...and from the looks of it, the picturesque community has one heck of an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration! Check out this slideshow–it looks so fun! Have a fun-filled, safe holiday weekend! Love ... View Post

Thank you, Erin, for having me as a guest blogger while you are on vacation with your family. House of Turquoise is one of the first blogs I started following and still love reading it daily. Turquoise is my favorite color so naturally I look for every opportunity to use it in my home and my clients homes.
