Did you see the feature about "chic sheds" in the recent issue of Country Living? This was one of my favorites! The little slice of heaven photographed by Brian Woodcock is located in Harpersville, Alabama and belongs to Barbara Adkins, the owner of Black Sheep Antiques. The sunny space primarily functions as her art studio, but she's also been known to use it for hosting dinner parties! Can't think of a better way to greet guests than with those gorgeous doors! They were actually Barbara's best ... View Post
Daydreamer – Cornwall, United Kingdom
This is easily one of the most heavenly places I've ever shared on the blog! Daydreamer is a private retreat blissfully situated on the top of Freathy cliff on Whitsand Bay, South East Cornwall in the UK. Ocean views as far as the eye can see...can you even imagine?! The cute little cottage was once home to a Sea Captain and has been lovingly passed down through his family for many decades, the most recent generation opening it up as a vacation rental. I'm loving the cozy French-inspired ... View Post
Vani Sayeed Studios
I'm absolutely obsessed with the watery tile in this gorgeous bathroom designed by Vani Sayeed, a Newton, MA-based interior designer and artist! The skylight above the feature wall really makes it dazzle! Love how her other selections like the simple white cabinetry and neutral floor tiles keep the focus on the handmade Japanese Sumi-e glass tile. The shower is such a dream too. Love the pebbled tile on the floor! See more photos by Jared Kuzia of the rest of the home here–it's just as beautiful ... View Post
Dream Finders Homes
It's not too often I see a model home so beautifully decorated I'd be ready to move in right away! Leave it to Dream Finders Homes, a builder with homes in Northeast FL, GA, CO, and TX, to leave me inspired on this Monday morning! There are so many reasons I'm loving this home designed by Jennifer Hardy of Inhabit-Interiors, from the functional floor plan to the stunning architectural details (the ceilings are fab!)...not to mention the serene color palette throughout! The kitchen is to-die-for, ... View Post
Mercury Mosaics
How fun is this retro-inspired kitchen?! The colorful tile from Mercury Mosaics, a company that creates handmade artisan tile right here in Minneapolis, is the perfect finishing touch! (Though you know I'm absolutely in love with the Big Chill appliances!) The checkerboard floor and sunny dining nook definitely add to the laid-back, retro vibe too. It might be small on space, but this kitchen is big on style! For tons more design inspiration, you have to visit Mercury Mosaics' gallery–it's ... View Post
The Christopher Kennedy Compound Showhouse
After seeing the bold turquoise front door, I knew The Christopher Kennedy Compound Showhouse was going to deliver some major eye candy! Over a dozen designers transformed the rooms in this classic 1964 ranch house, taking inspiration from lush golf courses and azure water. If I had to choose, I'd say my favorite space is the turquoise-filled guest bedroom designed by Michael Ostrow & Roger Stoker of Grace Home Furnishings–love the mix of patterns and textures! There's still so much more to ... View Post

Designed by Herlong & Associates Architecture + Interiors and constructed by Charleston-based Bennett Hofford Construction, the Caribbean retreat (photographed by Meredith Brower and Holger Obenaus) perfectly captures the island’s lifestyle! The kitchen, designed by Signature Kitchens & Baths of Charleston, is one of my favorite spaces...love that curved island with ... View Post

This bright and beautiful Auckland, New Zealand kitchen was designed by Susan Templer, owner and principal of Templer Interiors. Isn't it absolute perfection?! The droolworthy space (captured by Larnie Nicolson) has so much to love...a pretty wall color (Resene's Robin's Egg Blue), gorgeous farmhouse sinks, classic subway tile, a great mix of shimmery hardware, stunning faucets, custom-made cabinets, high-end appliances and porcelain floor tiles made to look like oak! The colorful Italian glass ... View Post
