Being Brook

June 13, 2012

I've never really been too much into crafts, but I'm pretty sure this room would inspire me big time!! The space belongs to Brook of the blog Being Brook. She's all about creating awesome, and she definitely did that here! Her (and my) favorite part of the room is the giant aqua craft table that her husband built for her birthday (painted Behr’s Windwood Springs). And get this...the craft room is where their formal dining room is supposed to be–I always love it when people repurpose their ... View Post

Porchlight Interiors

June 12, 2012

Straight out of the Hamptons! Or in this case, Brisbane!! Designed by Australian-duo Hayley Hayes and Tracey Leeson of Porchlight Interiors, this beautiful beachy home is full of coastal touches, pops of color, and great pattern...all on a clean white background. I love the Kerry Shipps turquoise coral prints, the blue and white Dash and Albert rug, and all the furniture, especially the comfy slipcovered sofas! You guys can see even more photos over at the Porchlight Interiors blog, and for the ... View Post

Scott Sanders + Blogfest 2012

June 8, 2012

One of the many highlights of my recent trip to NYC and Blogfest was visiting the Kips Bay Show House. My favorite space was this fabulous cabana, designed by New York City and Hamptons-based interior designer Scott Sanders (photographed here by Rikki Snyder and Nick Johnson). So much personality, so much turquoise, I love it! The fun Scalamandre sofa fabric is what first won me over...the pictures just do not do it justice! The Phillip Jeffries grasscloth wallcovering was also great–I've never ... View Post

Garry Mertins

June 6, 2012

Little Rock, Arkansas designer Garry Mertins does a great job blending a mix of wood with a light, beachy color palette in this 1920's renovated home featured in At Home in Arkansas and photographed by Nancy Nolan. The pretty robin’s egg blue throughout was inspired by the family’s love of the beach, but they also wanted a mix of Old World with contemporary details. And they love wood! All the woodwork is original to the home, but freshened up with pretty paint to keep it from feeling like a ... View Post

Vivid Hue Home

June 5, 2012

The philosophy of Heather Grahling, author of the color-loving blog Vivid Hue Home, is have fun with design! She recently completed her fresh and cheery sunroom, filling it with the prettiest blues and greens. I'm not sure what I love most...the Company C rug (the inspiration behind the space) or Benjamin Moore's Spectra Blue on the walls and ceiling! But what about the fab Oly cocktail table or all the chic Bungalow 5 tables?! Actually I'm loving all of her accessories! What's especially cool ... View Post

Lisa Teague + Isola Bella Giveaway

June 4, 2012

Two years ago I posted one of my favorite homes, designed by New England-based interior designer and artist Lisa Teague. It was later shown in Country Living, with these gorgeous photos taken by Björn Wallander and styled by Stacy Kunstel. How cool are those stairs?! I'd smile every time I went up them! It's really no question that Lisa is considered an expert in color and painted surfaces. Lisa's blog Color Gypsy is a must-read for me! So much color, so many great ideas and fantastic ... View Post

Regan Baker Design

June 1, 2012

Coastal homes always get me in the mood for the weekend! This 1920's bungalow home in the heart of downtown Carmel, California was designed by Regan Baker, an Austin, Texas interior designer. Doesn't the home feel super inviting?? I love the open floor plan, the board and batten walls and those great high ceilings! Although it's predominately neutral, I'm appreciating the bits of color here and there....especially in that beautiful blue bedroom! You can tour lots more of this great home right on ... View Post

Structures Building Company

May 30, 2012

Sweet southern charm! Structures Building Company, a custom home builder out of Charleston, South Carolina, has an online portfolio entirely worth drooling over. I mean, did you see that first image? That exterior?! How easy it to imagine sitting out on one of those porches, cooled off by the fans and an iced tea! You just don't see that sort of thing up here in Minnesota and I love it. Just like I love all the interiors! So fresh and relaxed, but totally elegant. And don't get me started on ... View Post
