Martha Dayton Design

February 27, 2017

I always jump at the chance to share Minnesota talent, but I’m particularly excited about this cottage because it’s not too far from where I live! Martha Dayton Design collaborated with Rehkamp Larson Architects and Streeter & Associates (who actually built our house in the 80’s) on the beautiful home captured by Karen Melvin and Kory Kevin Studio. The fresh use of color is absolutely fantastic! The blues and reds woven throughout pop on the otherwise neutral palette, and paired with plenty of texture, give the home a layered, lived-in vibe that I love. There are so many amazing architectural elements too! The light-filled upstairs is jaw-dropping, isn’t it?! I think the great room has to my favorite though. What an incredible space! There’s still more to see…finish your tour here!

Beautiful Home. I would love to know the name and maker of the roman shade and pillow fabric in the bedroom.

Gorgeous use of colors and design! I kept looking at the pictures over and over. I, too, adore the fabric used in the Roman shades in the master bedroom. You have really been posting homes I love lately! If I could have one for my own, it would be very hard to chose.

Do you have any idea where the semi-flush mount light in the hallway with the wood floor in herringbone pattern is from?

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
