Visbeen Architects

July 22, 2013

Perched above Lake Michigan, this amazing beach home designed by Visbeen Architects out of Grand Rapids with interiors by Benchmark Wood Studio, takes complete advantage of its jaw-dropping views! From the built-in bench (and amazing view!) in the entry, to the fun game room and bar on the lower level, I just love it all! I could get lost in the beachy color palette (hello there, turquoise home office!) and great design details in every single room. Did I mention the view?! Learn more about the home and see additional photos right over here!

This house is STUNNING. I loved every. single. photo. Then I got to your description and saw this was one of the beautiful Parade of Homes houses on Lake Michigan—Lake Michigan is my favorite vacation destination–and we were hoping to go up for an upcoming Parade of Homes. I recognized the architectural drawings for this house!!

The entry is just perfect with that long built-in seat and views of the water. I was concerned about erosion being so close to the water, and being built over sand, until I saw that it is built by a "lake" rather than the ocean – phew! – so now I can just relax, enjoy the colours and the view!!!

My wife and I have visited the west side of Michigan many times from Saugatuck to Petoskey and at the end of each visit, think about "cashin' in" back in Cincinnati, and relocating to the beautiful side of Michigan. Now, we have one more reason to consider it…….."Tupelo"
    Thanks, Tillie.

I saw this house on the Parade of Homes home tour. It's truly beautiful! Built right on Lake Michigan in South Haven, Michigan. All yours for $2.6 million if I remember correctly. 🙂
