Jesse Carrier and Mara Miller, the principals of Carrier and Company Interiors, are known for creating exquisitely detailed yet comfortable and personalized spaces. So when the owners of this 19th-century home on Shelter Island, New York wanted to renovate, they turned to the husband and wife design duo to make every room comfortable and welcoming. The couple also worked with architect John David Rose and general contractor Mark Himmelsbach to help preserve the original historical structure, as well as highlight the amazing water views. Those jaw-dropping views, along with the family’s love for all water-related activities, inspired the shades of blue, green and sand throughout the home. My favorite subtle seaside nod is the buoy-like chandelier in the dining room though…it’s gorgeous! Read all about the home and see more photos by Zach Desart over at Luxe Interiors + Design!
