It was the fab retro-inspired turquoise appliances that inspired the design of this Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina beach cottage! With plenty of original charm still intact, interior designer Cortney Bishop opened up the layout and raised the ceiling height to make this as open and airy as possible, then introduced layers of pattern, texture, and sea-inspired color on the crisp, shiplap backdrop! Love the artwork (especially the photography by Amanda Greeley), recycled glass countertop (Bretagne Blue from Vetrazzo’s Coastal Series), the vanity painted Green Blue by Farrow & Ball, and the built-in banquette covered in the fun Kelly Wearstler fabric! The swing bed on the porch could not be any more cozy too! See lots more photos and read an article about the home over at Coastal Living!
