Katelyn James Photography

February 20, 2014

If I wasn’t already number one in the unofficial Katelyn James fan club, I certainly am after seeing her new morning room! The talented wedding photographer has an amazing eye for color and pattern, doesn’t she?! Love the coral here with the Sea Salt walls, grey and turquoise, and how the fabulous curtain fabric pulls everything together perfectly! And best of all, it the room was done on a budget! You can see more pics and read all about the makeover over here! And to see Katelyn’s gorgeous living room, head here!

I dont get the curtains. Shouldn't they be the same height. Does not look right to me.

I agree – the curtains are so wrong; they should both be hung at the same height above the trim. Looks really awkward when you see the last image.

I love the turquoise and orange. Two of my favorite colors. This is a budget room done well!

@anonymous , the lower curtains are over a sliding back door with a large transom window. It wouldn't look correct to have 96" curtains covering the transom. Because it's an entryway and not another window set, it doesn't look weird to us 🙂

Is the turquoise sideboard custom painted? Can you share what color it is if so? It's to die for! Thank you!

Do you have any info on the mirror with the twisted bars? I would love to know if that's available somewhere! Thanks!
