A year and a half ago, Shannan of Flower Patch Farmgirl moved with her family from the country to the city into a brand new home in Indiana. I think it’s safe to say she took her country-loving roots with her! I’d never have guessed the home was a new build with all the great vintage touches and thrifty finds she incorporated into the design! Take the sliding door in the kitchen…it came from the school she attended for 13 years. They bought it at a pre-tear-down auction for $8! Of course I love the custom-built island most, painted Valspar’s Twilight Meadow. The main panels are actually crafted from old doors! And how about those cute stools–a major score from TJ Maxx! Tons to read about the kitchen right this way, and see more of their home here!

CONGRATS!!! Love the book idea. So excited for you two!!!
I'm normally not a fan of that old, weathered look on stuff (I always want to get a paint brush and fill in the imperfections!) but this kitchen is too adorable! And all the curtains are so bright and cheery – I love the dining room pair the most!
This is wonderful. I love the vintage plates and think the arrangement is wonderful! Great colors!

O, that island bench, how I covet thee!!!!!
I love the little surprises you show us in these beautiful homes and when you tell us where things come from like the stools from TJ Maxx. That was an awesome buy.
I love those chairs – the designs that are different enough to be distinctive and give a sense of movement and dynamism at the table but similar enough to fall into considered harmony.
What a lovely home! It was very relaxing and refreshing.
What an adorable home!
