Hutker Architects

February 7, 2013

When I think of Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard, it’s always shingle style homes that come to mind! The Cape Cod architecture and interior design firm Hutker Architects shows us there’s so much more diversity going on. The firm has designed over two hundred homes in coastal New England, all of which avoid a single style. I have such a fondness for sleek lines and open spaces, not to mention huge windows everywhere, so I immediately fell for this project. What I love most is that they incorporated fun colors (turquoise and pink? My favorite!) into the unique design. How cool is that coffee table?! Finish your tour of the home with more photos by Brian Vanden Brink right over here!

And if you love coastal New England design, definitely check out Hutker Architects book Heirlooms to Live In: Homes in a New Regional Vernacular!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm saying this – I KNOW THEM! (and I don't mean that in an "I know someone important" way – I'm just shocked this is on your blog!) My husband went to high school with his kids. Their home is even more unbelievable in person (as is the book). So glad you're featuring this!!

Not my style very cold and impersonal. I like a home that reflects personality of the owner and personal style. Am glad they at least used some color. Love the pool.
