Armonia Decors

February 7, 2011

I was instantly smitten with LA-based designer Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors when I saw her fabulous work popping up on so many of my favorite blogs over the last couple weeks. Like so many of us, Emily gravitates towards blue, and uses the coast and water as inspiration in many of her designs. She is a big fan of creating spaces where people feel harmonious and calm, but more importantly, better about themselves when they are in them. (Love that.) The right blends of color are usually a part of her equation, as you can see from these amazing photos taken by photographer Meghan Beierle-O’Brien. Check out her blog for lots of inspiration and ideas, and her portfolio right over here!

Love that grasscloth-textured wallpaper, and the pillows in the pic below it. I think I can make some like those … I've got similar fabric at home. Hmmm …

Adore the mirrored parsons table in the last pic. I've got a pair of matching antique alabaster lamps in my living room, and am really thinking of changing out their silk bell shades to drum shades with trim (turquoise, of course!) like in the last pic. I've also got a really old alabaster lamp that is an exact replica of the ones on that table, so maybe I'll try the new lampshade experiment with that one first!

Another great post, Erin! Thank you!
