Mitchell Wall Architecture & Design + Fifi Lugo

November 7, 2012

Shingle style homes get me every single time!! This St. Louis stunner designed by architect Susan Bower of Mitchell Wall Architecture and Design and photographed by Alise O’Brien looks straight out of the Hamptons! Interior designer Fifi Lugo gave the family-friendly home its light and airy feel with perfect touches of turquoise throughout. I love the star pendants in the breakfast nook–never seen a trio of them like that before. And that bathroom, ohmygosh you guys, I can’t even tell you how much I love it! Then the kitchen. THE kitchen. I can’t even type, I just want to go stare at it some more! Read the article about the home and see more photos over at St. Louis Magazine. (They put together a great source list too!)

I check your blog every day and LOVE everything so imagine my surprise when I saw this post and realized it was my best friend's house!! I almost died. Yes, her house is amazing and prettier in person if you can believe it.

Hi Erin – I have a white kitchen and want to paint my island turquoise just like the Desai's (and one of Sarah Richardson's kitchens. Sarah used her duck egg blue from her paint line). I'm having trouble finding a color that will look like the Desai's or Sarah's (I love Ben Moore Paints). Any suggestions?

My favorite element? That bathroom chandelier. So unusual! Like a fine piece of jewelry.

I checked with my friend and she said the color of her island is Yarmouth Blue by Benjamin Moore.

    Thanks Mary P. and Erin,
I'm building a home and most of my ideas have come from House of Turquoise!

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
