Mabley Handler Interior Design

July 31, 2012

From the very first moment I laid my eyes on this glorious room, I was done for. Dead and gone to turquoise heaven, I tell you! Designed by the Hamptons design duo Jennifer Mabley and Austin Handler of Mabley Handler for this year’s Hampton Designer Showhouse, this dining room is turning out to be the talk of the house! (I’m sure many of you saw the feature on Quintessence!) I’m just dying over all the shades of turquoise and blue here, so refreshing and fun!

The room was inspired by the fabulous chevron fabric from Jonathan Adler’s new line for Kravet (Wabash fabric in Aquamarine), which ties everything together perfectly. Love the Madeline Weinrib rug, the aqua panels on the wall and ceiling painted Pratt & Lambert’s Azurean 22-5, and Phillip Jeffries Juicy Jute grasscloth wallpaper in Blueberry. How great does it look with the gorgeous blue candelabras from Dunes and Duchess?! Then there’s the incredible drum shades, which were a collaboration between Bone Simple Design and Michelle Hatch. Seriously, friends, SOOOO much to love here.

Visit Mabley Handler’s blog Designing the Hamptons to learn all you want to know about this fabulous space, including ALL the sources! They also have a Pinterest board loaded with all of the items in the room too! Better yet?? You can still feast your eyes on this beauty in real life–the showhouse located in Water Mill, NY is open daily until September 3. More info on it here!

I just popped by for a little design inspiration and am so happy to see such a stunning room in my favourite shade! It's nice to see I'm in good company in choosing blue for our dining room.

I love this new fabric from Jonathan Adler. I have made it up into pillows and it looks great paired with the diamond ikat in the same great shades of blue.

I think the dining chairs are my absolute favorite in this post! I love that they look like simple turquoise chairs from behind but then from the front you see the fun inset print! I would never think to put a different pattern on the back inset of the chair, and I love that it pulls in the window treatment pattern. Great post!

It’s not available on his website anymore, but it is from Jonathan Adler.
