Sita Montgomery

December 21, 2011

Can’t you just tell that Sita Montgomery of The Family Room Design Studio had a ball decorating her Utah home?? The kitchen underwent a huge transformation over the summer. To give the space a fresh and bright feeling, she had the cabinets painted a soft, creamy off-white. I loooove how it turned out! The delightful family room has the same happy vibe of the kitchen…I am loving bursts of fresh color! Sita has lots more great photos of her home taken by Paige Davis over at her blog, so head on over to finish the tour. And if you’re lucky enough to live in Utah and are looking for some design help, definitely look her up!

Sita was gracious enough to provide us with the source list below. If you’re wondering about anything else, just ask!

Love this! Of to show my hubby to see if he agrees – we have such a hard time agreeing on decorating but I think we might both like this!

you need to devote some space to energy depletion in this blog. here is another home with blistering summers, often, in the one hundreds, and not one effort was made to put in any energy conservation. a fortune was spent on all these decorating items yet not one cent went towards lessening our dependence on foreign energy. you show a double ceiling in the family room in a section o f the country where that will cost a fortune to air condition. this is a serious concern when we americans have to rely on these psyco countries for our energy supplies. why don't you ask your readers if anyone has used turquoise in some energy saving home and to send in pictures? an entry like this makes decorators seem like dummies about serious concerns.

So beautiful. I'd love to know where the kitchen table and rug in front of the sink came from.

That's a beautiful home with subtle colours in only a few places. It would be so easy to change it up by just getting new curtains, kitchen rug and canisters and a few decor items in another colour (red, tangerine, anything!) at any time. I think that's smart decorating.

Sita I love her home! I am going to have to borrow the idea to use a pattern rug in my kitchen! I am currently redecorating my kitchen and I hate all the kitchen rugs I have seen.

Love the wall paint color you used throughout your house. I am trying to pick a neutral color and finding it difficult. What color did you use? I appreciate your help.

Hi I love this kitchen. It would be my dream kitchen. Do you know the counter top material and color name? It looks like granite, but could be quartz or something??? We are fixing to redo our kitchen and I would love to replicate the counters and back splash that Sita used!!! Thanks in advance for any info!!! 🙂

I’m Erin and I am obsessed with the color turquoise. I started this blog to collect inspirational photos I find of fabulous rooms that feature all of the lovely shades of my favorite color. For even more turquoise, visit my shopping blog Everything Turquoise!
